Around the World!

World Map Stats

Hello! Hej! Tchüss! Hola! Privet! Shalom! (Okay, I’m done…)

It has now been a month since I launched my new website on May 14th and I wanted to make a post in order to celebrate that.

After I finished building the site, I worked hard to drive some traffic to it and I have had a lot of fun seeing where the site’s visitors come from. To my big surprise, I was quite popular in Vietnam in the first few days…

Of course, most of my views come from Denmark and USA, but I also get a lot of visitors from Canada and the UK. No surprise there, since it’s an English website. Might explain why the French seems to be avoiding me…

In total, my website has been visited by people from 63 countries around the world. That’s the advantage of having a website that’s actually accessable

New Website!

As some of you might know, my last website was hosted via the site Blog.com. Their servers have always been unstable, being down at random times without explanation, but I continued to put off switching to a new hosting service. Not only was it a lot of work, I also have lots of permalinks leading to the old address (not to mention it’s the one on my business cards).

But this was the last straw.

In the last week, Blog.com’s servers have only been up twice. TWICE. And not for long at a time. That comes right after I handed out business cards to interested people at the convention I attended last weekend AND it prevented me from using my website to promote the book I had coming out yesterday. As of right now, I haven’t been able to access the site in 4 days.

So, I decided that no amount of laziness could justify my staying at Blog.com. Which resulted in moving all my blog posts here and hopefully manage to find a reliable host in WordPress.

The site is still in development, and it will take some time before it becomes fully functionable again, but at least it’s accessable.

Any suggestions for making this a great website are welcome!
