Ghostly Scream – Release Date and Cover Reveal

Ghostly Scream Michelle Louring

It took me way too long, but I’m happy to finally announce a release date for Ghostly Scream.

You’re not getting a lot of warning: Ghostly Scream will be out as ebook on October 17!

If you want the paperback, it’s already available here.

Ghostly Scream

They might be better dressed, but mages can be just as fickle as demons . . .

Disavowed by the clergy, Selissa is left to fend for herself when her actions lead her to become a prisoner of Var’nori.
She is given the choice between staying locked up within the walls of the mage city or accepting to become an apprentice of the secretive magister, Feryll. It’s really not much of a choice.
Because while her life has changed a lot over the last few years, one thing is still very much true:
Selissa really, really doesn’t like mages.

Since I’ve been so slow with everything, I’m going ahead and doing the cover reveal at the same time. The first reaction I got on this went something along the lines of “I love it, but mostly because it screams ‘vampire’!”, so I feel obligated to say that this book features no vampires whatsoever. I’m very sorry if I got your hopes up.

Without further delay, here you have the deceptively vampire-y cover of Ghostly Scream:

New Covers – Angel’s Voice Series

Covers Michelle Louring

I’m thrilled to finally make this post!

As I mentioned I have been working on new revised editions of Resounding Echo, Silent Sound and Quiet Whisper prior to the release of Ghostly Scream. Those new editions will be released over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out!

What about Ghostly Scream, you might ask? Well, come back here on Thursday where the release date (which is soon!) will be announced.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on these pretties and tell me what you think of the new look.

I Need a Book Title. Hit Me!

Help me graphic

Seeing as Ghostly Scream will soon be published, I have run into a recurring problem in what I need something to write underneath the sentence “Next Book in the Angel’s Voice Series” on the last page.

Yep. I need a title for book 5.

Like I have taken to doing with character names, I’m just gonna crowd source ideas before I drive myself insane.

Good thing about this series is that you don’t need to know anything about the content of the books to help out! The theme is pretty simple, seeing as none of the titles have much to do with the plot in the individual books. They just have to relate to the sound of a voice.

(If it includes some kind of redundancy or other things that make it sound slightly silly, that’s just a plus.)

Examples:
Book 1 – Resounding Echo
Book 2 – Silent Sound
Book 3 – Quiet Whisper
Book 4 – Ghostly Scream (never really liked this one…)
Book 5 – ??? (Help me!)

So! Help me brainstorm, will ya?
Any ideas are welcome. Even if it’s just separate words, we might be able to Frankenstein a title out of it in the end.

(Also, if your help has a price, name it. Whether you want to be a character in the book or want the soul of my firstborn, I’m open for negotiations…)

Quiet Whisper – Excerpt (Chapter 48)

“Tell me most of the blood isn’t yours and that one of your new strays is the kid’s brother,” Bane said in the voice of a man who couldn’t handle any more insanity. Taelan patted him on the shoulder, leaving a bloody handprint on his shirt.

“Most of it isn’t my blood, and we picked up the right stray,” Taelan assured him good-humoredly. “And as an added bonus, I just killed the commander of the Ver’dohnian forces.”

He continued past Bane, leaving his lieutenant stunned for all of five seconds.

“You what?!”

Silent Sound – Excerpt (Chapter 4)

“Let me keep you company then,” he answered and smiled at her. “I’m heading there myself at the moment.”

She hesitated for a moment. All the men she met always turned out to be either raving mad, or dead. After meeting Alassane, the sanity of the people she ran into had just seemed to go steadily downhill.

She looked at the man, who had yet to introduce himself, one more time. He looked remarkably normal, and it was unlikely he could get her into any more trouble on the short way to the temple than she could manage by herself.

“Lead the way,” she told him. She needed to stop being so paranoid. It couldn’t be healthy to suspect every friendly stranger of being a crazed mass-murderer.
